Qimmat Al-Iqtidar For Security Services Has Partnered With G6 Global For The Installation And Commissioning Of A Bespoke Designed Digital Radio Network To Underpin The Entirety Of Qimmat Al-Iqtidar 's South Iraq Security Operations With The Following Capacity:
- Up to 300 portable subscribers (varying over time)
- 150 mobile/fixed users (vehides/base stations)
- GPS tracking data at regular polling intervals
- Future expansion of local subscribers
- IP site connect capability for future geographic expansion
- Possible ATEX requirement in sensitive areas
- Ability to track all radios .
- Communication, Command & Control from central location
- SIP telephone interconnect Emergency calling (emergency button)
- AES256 encryption is required
- OTAR (over the air reprogramming) of all radios

Satellite Network
In Addition, A Tactical Satellite Capability ls Provided Using The Thuraya Meo Satellite Constellation Feeding Portable. Mobile And Fixed Terminals. lp Access For The Trbonet Tracking System, As Well As Strategic Communications. Is Provided Using A Vsat Capability Or Via A Local Internet Service Provider With Vsat As Back Up.
Mobile
Motorola DM4601 digital mobile units will be installed in the vehicles. These units are GPS ready enabling all vehicles within range of the network to be tracked as a redundancy for the satellite IVMS/ Tracking system fitted to each vehicle.
Network Design
The following diagram shows the network concept at high level. This illustrates the ability to interconnect multiple operational areas using either satellite or point to point microwave (preferred where possible due to low latency). As seen in the diagram below, remote operations rooms are also possible with secure VPN tunnels allowing end to end encryption from radio in the field to dispatch position anywhere in the world.
